BetOnline have been operating out of Panama since the early 90's and are now one of the biggest online bookmakers for sports bettors in the United States. They built up a major following in North America because they have a reputation for fast payouts, high betting limits and competitive odds.

Here's a quick rundown of what BetOnline offers to bitcoin sports bettors....
    • Accept bitcoin and also Visa, Mastercard, American Express, gift cards, Skrill, Neteller, bank transfer etc.
    • The minimum BTC deposit is $20 and the maximum BTC deposit is $3,500.
    • Bitcoin deposits appear in your account within an hour.
    • BTC minimum payout is $20 and maximum payout is $5,000.
    • Bitcoin withdrawals are guaranteed within 48 hours although in our experience it usually takes less the 12.
    • There is a 2% payout fee for bitcoin withdrawals.
    • There are no geographic restrictions. All sports bettors are welcome.

Withdrawals are amazingly quick. The btc is usually in my wallet in less than 12 hours. Bovada often takes 3 days.

I just had a quick browse through their site and the lines seem to be better than Bovada also. I might give them a try next.

To be fair to BetOnline they do offer pretty good promotions year round and just for big events like the start of the NFL and College Football season. For instance, if you place an in-play for the first time on any sports, you can quality for $25 free play. Similarly, if you want to take home a $50 free bet then just wager via their web-app for the first time. The also offer ongoing reload bonuses and rebates on horse races.

these guys really need to spend more money developing their sportsbook app. compared to how slick the cloudbet app design is, betonline's app looks like amateur hour. i don't understand why a major US facing online sportsbooks like betonline doesn't spend more money improving their html5 site. like most people i do most of my betting these days from my android so i'm sure they would get a good return on investment.

Good news guys. BetOnline have finally come to their senses and removed their 6.5% deposit fee if you fund your account with BTC. All bitcoin deposits are now processed free of charge so you will save yourself 6.5% if you use the crypto-currency instead of your Visa or Mastercard.

How on earth could they justify charging a 6.5% fee for bitcoin deposits?

They claimed that their payment processor charged this fee and it was completely out of their hands. When bitcoin sports bettors refused and moved their business to 5Dimes and Bovada, they somehow managed to remove the fee.

Are BetOnline running any promotions to coincide with the Super Bowl?

No I don't think. They offer more promotions that most other sportsbooks so I don't think they would afford to give away any more for the Super Bowl.

My last bitcoin transaction cost over $3 so I'm tempted to try Litecoin next time. Anyone know where I can buy litecoin?

Bitcoin transaction fees and waiting times have decreased significantly over the past few weeks.

  19. Most of the major exchange like Kraken and Bitfinex now sell litecoin. You can also litecoin at many bitcoin ATM's if you don't mind paying crazy commission.

In addition to BTC, BetOnline now also support deposits and payouts with a number of other cryptocurrencies, including Dash, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.
