If you want to play at a bitcoin-friendly online poker room there are now plenty of options. You can choose between Americas Cardroom, Blackchip Poker, Seals With Clubs, BetCoin or Ignition Casino to name just a few. If you want to play real money mobile poker with bitcoin then the options are much slimmer. Nitrogen Sports is currently the only bitcoin-only poker room that is fully compatible with Android and iOS.

The good news is that BetOnline have updated their poker client to include mobile poker. BetOnline Poker now works on iPhone and Android and offers all the same games you will find on the main site. That means that you can play MTT's and Sit & Go Tournaments on your phone in addition to regular Hold'em and Omaha cash games.

If you have an iPhone then you can start playing instantly from your phones browser. Android users can either play using the web-app or opt to download a native apk file. We're pretty sure the browser-based version will work on Nokia Lumia/Windows Phone devices also.

BetOnline welcome players from the USA and every other country on the planet.

BetOnline Mobile poker is now live but for some reason they are not advertising it on their website yet. If you visit BetOnline on your iPhone or Android, you will find an option to "Play Poker".

BetOnline poker is the most complete real-money poker app that I've come across for bitcoin players. Nitrogen Sports poker works pretty well on my Samsung Galaxy but they have no traffic. Ignition Poker have plenty of traffic but their app kinds sucks because you can only play Hold'em/Omaha ring games. BetCoin have decent enough traffic but their poker client uses flash so it doesn't work on most smartphones. That means BetOnline is the clear winner. Cash games include No Limit Hold’em, Pot-limit Omaha and Pot-limit Omaha Hi-Lo plus a ton of tournaments.

  4. I like the user interface and I haven't experienced any lag so this looks promising. There's a good variety of games and player pool is also very loose. My only criticism is that the lobby isn't that easy to use.

Overall, a very good effort BetOnline but it's ridiculous that US poker players have had to wait this long for a decent app.

the software is pretty smooth but for some reason it sometimes doesn't load on the first attempt on my iphone. sometimes i have to refresh a couple of times before the software fully loads on my browser. after that it usually plays pretty smoothly.

BetOnline have also recently added support for a host of other cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin Cash (Bcash), Litecoin and Ethereum.

Sadly BetOnline have exited the online poker market place in Australia due to new anti-gambling regulations in Australia.

Hope they never decide to exit the USA. They are easily my favourite crypo-friendly poker room.

I really, really doubt that they will leave the United States since it probably makes up at least 80% of their player pool. Australian players probably only accounted for less than 5% of their player base so it might not have been worth staying there and taking on that extra risk.
