Where can I buy Litecoin and what's the best LTC wallet?

I've noticed that BetOnline recently added support for Litecoin. At the moment the bitcoin network is a little congested, which means fees have risen and there is no guarantee that your transaction will be included in the next block. While I still think paying a $2 fee to make a deposit at a sportsbooks is extremely good value, I don't like waiting around a couple of hours for deposits to fully confirm. For this reason I'm thinking of switching to litecoin since nobody really uses so it's fast and cheap.

Where is the best place to buy litcoin and can anybody recommend a litecoin wallet that's gambling friendly?

You should invest in a Trezor hardware wallet. They are less than $100 and are ultra secure. They also support Litecoin, DASH, Zcash and bitcoin.

I think Ledger Wallet now also supports Litecoin. The popular "bread wallet" for bitcoin has also recently been forked into a new Litecoin wallet called "loaf" which might be a good option for iOS users. You can also store your litecoin by using the Coinbase wallet but just remember that you can use this wallet to fund your gambling account or it will be closed.

if you already own some bitcoin then you can easily purchase litecoin at shapeshift.io or changelly.com without even creating an account.

The Bread app said last week that it's very likely they'll be adding support for litecoin in the future...

This was an interesting tweet from Charlie Lee yesterday. You can now fund your Lightning Network channels using Litecoin on-chain to Lightning Network off-chain. This might be useful if bitcoin fees get high and it becomes expensive to fund LN channels.
