Neteller now allows its users to buy and sell a number of popular crypto currencies, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin and Ethereum Classic. This shouldn't come as too big a surprise as Neteller is owned by Paysafe Group who also own Skrill. Last year Skrill enabled the purchase of the same cryptocurrencies via their fiat currency wallet. The fact that Paysafe Group have now added a cryptocurrency exchange to Neteller shows that the Skrill launch was a success. Anybody who already has a Skrill or Neteller account can now instantly buy and sell crypto's without going through any additional KYC or AML. There is also no need to install a separate cryptocurrency wallet since everything is managed from inside your Neteller account. The Neteller wallet supports almost 30 different fiat currencies, including the dollars, euro, yen and pound. The service will be limited to about a dozen countries to begin with but they plan to roll it out across the world pretty soon. With Skrill, Neteller and CashApp now allowing you to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, how long before PayPal will add their own exchange?
If I buy bitcoin from my Neteller account, can I then transfer it to my hardware wallet or send it to my bookie?
I checked and sadly you can't. Right now you can only buy and sell for investment purposes and the crypto can't be removed from your Neteller wallet, which is a shame.
This is not seem like a big deal right now but once the bear market ends and the bitcoin price starts to go parabolic again, millions of retails investors will be able to instantly buy bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies using Skrill, Neteller, Revolut and Cash App without having to do any kind of AML or KYC. The could send the price skyrocketing.
