When BetOnline first started accepting bitcoin they were charging an ungodly 6.5% deposit fee. Understandably, BetOnline customers revolted and gambling message boards were full of unhappy customers complaining about the fee. BetOnline claimed that the fee was charged by their payment processor and it was out of their control but few people were happy with that excuse given that Bovada and 5Dimes had zero bitcoin processing fees. In the end BetOnline relented and eliminated their 6.5% free for bitcoin deposits.

The controversy didn't end there, however, as the U.S. friendly sportsbook and poker room still charged their players a 2% bitcoin payout fee. Again, none of BetOnline's competitors charged a fee for BTC payouts so punters continued to complain. The good news is BetOnline have finally removed this 2% fee so you can now make crypto-currency deposits and withdrawals instantly using BTC.
