Betonline are widely considered to be one of the better U.S. facing online sportsbooks. Because so many US poker rooms have shut-down, they are now also one of the most popular real-money poker sites for U.S. players. Their poker room has continued to attract American players despite many complaints about their software. Thankfully that may now be a thing of the past as Betonline have completely overhauled their poker software. Here's a quick summary...
    • Betonline accept bitcoin for both deposits and withdrawals, in addition to credit cards and band transfers.
    • The updated poker platform offers new games, including 32 Card Draw, Americana and 7 Card Stud.
    • New "Time Bank" gives you an extra few seconds to think about how to play an important hand.
    • Revamped and improved satellite tournaments with a new weekly $10,000 freeroll.
    • They have also greatly improved their player contests.
    • BetOnline Poker is now compatible with iPhone and Android.

Not yet but we think mobile poker is in the pipeline. Their new poker software provider also offers HTML5 poker so they are probably focusing on Mac and PC now. Sometime in the future they will also phase in poker for Windows Phone, Android and iOS.

i like that the new software lets you search for a player. the addition of private tables is also a pretty good new feature.

There is a weekly $5,000 freeroll for all new players in addition to the $100k in poker guarantees every weekend. There's also bounty tournaments, $50k Satellites/Sit N Go's, MTT leaderboard challenges and a huge welcome bonus. Like with their sportsbook promotions, BetOnline really like to look after their players.

BetOnline poker players in the U.S. might have been aware that BetOnline were imposing the same 6.5% deposit processing fee on bitcoin users as they were on those using Visa, Mastercard, Bank Transfer etc. Competing poker rooms like Americas Cardroom and Ignition Casino (Bovada) never imposed any fee so after much protesting online they have now stopped charging players for depositing with crypto-currency.

BetOnline have now released a web-based poker app for iPhone/iPad that can be played from the Safari browser of your phone. If you are an Android user you have the option to either download a native poker app or play from your browser also.

i make a deposit at betonline this week using litecoin. it went through immediately and only cost a couple of cents. it's how i remember bitcoin transactions used to be before it got too popular.

Yes, BetOnline users should note that they also support Litecoin also. Litecoin is a little trickier to buy but most exchanges sell it now and even some BTM's allow you to buy it for cash.

The positives are that it confirms every 2 minutes rather than the 10 minutes confirmation intervals that bitcoin has so there is less waiting around. Also, Litecoin has bigger blocks and less traffic so there are rarely any delays.

In the next few months we are going to get the next generation of payment wallets built on top of the bitcoin blockchain, called Lightning Network. The Lightning Network will enable instant and free transactions to all and will probably be revolutionary.

Yes, in addition to Bitcoin, BetOnline now allows you to deposit/withdraw with Litecoin, Ethereum, Dash and BitcoinCash. I don't think Monero is supported yet though.

In addition to supporting a variety of cryptocurrencies and having the best online poker software for U.S. players, BetOnline is also great because...
    1. New players who deposit get a ticket to their new player $5,000 freeroll.
    2. On Sundays they run a $100 guaranteed poker tournaments.
    3. There is a $10,000 weekly cash race for real money ring players who can make it to the top of the leaderboard.

Buy why exit Australia when BetOnline have been breaking laws for over a decade by accepting real money players from the United States? I would be more afraid of US law enforcement because they have the power to have you arrested anywhere in the world. Remember back to Black Friday when the FBI seized the domains and bank accounts of Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars. I can't see Australia every doing something that bold.
