We are sorry to report that CloudBet has decided to ban players from the United States of America. CloudBet were one of our recommended crypto sportsbooks so we're sorry to see them block players from such a large sports betting market. When we contacted their customer support they confirmed that "Unfortunately, US jurisdiction does not accept Cloudbet" When players from the U.S. try to create an account now, they are presented with a message saying "Players from your region are now allowed".
That news really SUCKS!! I think I still have a couple of hundred dollars in my CloudBet account. Will I be able to withdraw it now?
Yes, CloudBet have confirmed with us that they will be allowing United States based customers to login and withdraw any outstanding balances.
i'm still able to login and gamble using a vpn although sometimes every now and then it doesn't work because of cloudflare i think.
I wonder if CloudBet will return to the USA now that sports betting has been legalised by the Supreme Court have legalised gambling. https://forum.bitcoingambling.io/th...etting-in-the-usa-affect-crypto-gambling.377/
We contacted CloudBet to get a full lost of which countries are banned but they refused to provide it. However, using an Australian IP address, we were able to access the CloudBet website and create a new account so we don't think Australian players are banned at this point so happy gambling.
Yeah, Australia kicked out PokerStars, PartyPoker, Americas Cardroom and every major online poker room but thankfully they have been less successful removing crypto-friendly sportsbooks. As far as I'm aware, both CloudBet and Nitrogen Sports are still operating in Australia. Aussie bookies are no longer allowed to offer in-play betting so they are providing a useful service to sports punters.
No all major poker sites, Aussies can still play online poker at Ignition Poker. Here is a compete list of the poker rooms that accept Australian poker players https://www.bitcoingambling.io/top-australian-cryptocurrency-poker-rooms.html
CloudBet have now widened the ban to include Hong Kong, Singapore and the United Kingdom. This is a real shame.
cloudbet banning uk sports punters isn't a big deal because there are a ton of gambling options open to anyone living in england, scotland or wales. i would rather move my sportsbook to a different legal jurisdiction than stop accepting sports bettors from the united states. it makes no financial sense since the usa is one of the most repressive anti-gambling countries in the world so that's where the majority of new players come from. they're shooting themselves in the foot.
Every cloud has a silver lining and for CloudBet their decision to block countries like the UK and USA mean that they are able to live steam soccer, tennis, volleyball, golf, NBA basketball and other sports in the same was that major bookies like Bet365 and Ladbrokes can. To watch live sports on CloudBet you just need to have an account with a minimum deposit.
CloudBet take the ban on United States sports bettors so it is advisable not to break their terms and conditions by using a VPN to gamble at their sportsbook from the USA. This poor chap used a VPN and almost lost 330 bitcoin when they asked him to do KYC https://www.bitcoingambling.io/cryp...dbet-user-almost-loses-330-btc-due-to-vpn-use
CloudBet also suspended my account until I provide them with a bunch of KYC and AML documentation. If you live in the USA or the UK, don't be stupid like me and use a VPN to connect to CloudBet https://forum.bitcoingambling.io/th...et-can-get-your-account-suspended-beware.504/
The owners should sell the brand to someone who is willing to take risks and operate from a gambling jurisdiction where they can once again accept UK and USA sports punters.
Unfortunately, CloudBet no longer accepts gamblers from the United Kingdom or the United States of America. The good news is they are still one of the Australia friendly gambling sites. Thanks for the update, although it's from a year ago. CloudBet's decision to ban U.S. players was unfortunate for those looking to use their platform for crypto sports betting. It's always important to stay informed about the latest regulations and restrictions when it comes to online betting, especially with crypto sportsbooks. For those affected by this change, it might be worth exploring other options that cater to U.S. players.
