I bought a ton of ETC when it was going cheap so I'm wondering if there are any casinos or sportsbooks that accept it yet?

Very few online casinos accept regular ETH so it's going to be even trickier finding one that accepts ETC. Fortune Jack accept about a dozen different crypto currencies so maybe you should try there first. http://www.bitcoingambling.io/fortune-jack.html

Ethereum is designed to be fuel for smart contracts rather than as a peer-to-peer value transfer system so I doubt you will see ETH or ETC being used at gambling sites anytime soon.

if ethereum is just fuel then why is millions of dollars being speculated on it every day?

I don't know why any gambling site would use ETC or ETH given how often the network is under attack. Exchanges freeze Ethereum trading every couple of days because of some hack. Stick to bitcoin people.

Ethereum is planning to switch to Proof Of Stake next year which could cause huge problems. Ethereum Classic on the other hand is sticking with the tried and tested Proof Of Work so if things go badly for ETH with the transitions to POS then there is a possibility that ETC will become that de facto ether chain.

Ethereum is completely screwed at the minute.

Every day seems to bring a new problem for Ethereum. How is their price still hovering around $11? There's no way Ethereum should have a market cap of over $1 billion dollars given their recent problems.

It's well known that a few big whales own most Ethereum. They need to slowly exit their positions before they will allow the price to crash but when it does it will be spectacular.

BetCoin now accepts Ethereum but I'm not sure if it's ETH or ETC.

darknet market alphabay recently announced that they would be adding support for ethereum so i guess that might prompt some gambling sites to do the same.

The value of Ethereum Classic has sky rocketed in the recent alt-coin bubble so I expect more gambling sites to start accepting it in the future.

That depends on whether you value immutability. ETH is tarnished because Vitalik Buterin already modified the Ethereum blockchain to return funds that were stolen from his friends. Many people simply will never trust a blockchain that can be edited by the a founder. ETC is the original Ethereum blockchain that was never edited so it is still considered immutable.

many bitcoin casinos are starting to integrate the shapeshift api into their cashier. this basically allows you to deposit using any type of cryptocurrency and it will be converted immediately to BTC for you deposit. there is a small conversion fee however so you're still better off depositing with bitcoin directly.

I don't understand the point of Ethereum Classic (ETC). Regular Ethereum (ETH) sucks but as least you can launch dumb ICO's on it. The only thing that is propping up the ETC price is Barry Silbert so has a big Ethereum Classic fund.
