Do Bovada accept players from all 50 U.S. states?

Following the closure of DirectBet, I'm looking for a new sportsbook that accepts American punters. What's the deal with Bovada? Do they welcome sports bettors from every state in the U.S. or are there some restrictions?

Now that they've removed the poker room from their website, I don't think there are any restrictions. Sports bettors and casino gamers are welcome from any part of the USA. Citizens of New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland and Nevada were not permitted to play poker at Bovada and I think this rule still stands at IgnitionCasino.

Why do states like New York and New Jersey have a problem with poker and not sports betting and poker?

I've never been able to figure out this myself. Surely these states should have a bigger problem with their citizens gambling on slots or casino table games that rigged. At least with poker there is an element of skill and if you're a good player, you can win money in the long run. That's not the case with most online casino games so in my opinion the US government should be focusing on banning online casinos.

  5. Not sure if all 50 states are covered but they expanded into Latin America and Bovada crypto is now available in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela.
