I used to play there a bit before they changed their name to SwCPoker because they had an Android poker app even before most of the major poker sites did. What's the player traffic like these days? Any decent tournaments?

Player traffic at SwCPoker has tumbled over the past year as major poker rooms enter the bitcoin gambling space. According to Poker Scout they have a 24 hour peak of 50 players and a weekly average of 18 players. It still puts them ahead of Nitrogen Sports Poker which is slowly gaining traffic thanks to the popularity of the Nitrogen sportsbook.

Yeah I still play there occasionally because the competition is so soft although it's not what it used to be. Prize pools have been reduced due to lower traffic.

If traffic is dropping then why don't they join a larger poker network like Betcoin.

Seals With Clubs are using their own proprietary software so it's not as simple as flicking a switch to just join a larger poker network. Betcoin are using the same poker client as Black Chip and Americas Cardroom so it is easy for them to share tournaments with other sites on the Winning Tournament Network.

If they want to attract more traffic they need to add a Mac client or at least a html5 instant play client that will work on Mac, Android and iOS.

To me it looks like a site that is on its last legs. Support is bad now and they keep slashing guarantees. It's pretty much a ghost town even at peak times. Last night there was about 4 cash tables running and 3 MTT's that had between 40 - 50 players competing.

these cats used to have a android poker app. where did that go?

They has an Android app in the beginning when the site was Then they shut-down for a few weeks following some security problems and when they reemerged again as, the poker app had disappeared. Perhaps following the security audit they decided it wasn't sufficiently secure and withdrew it. It's a shame because mobile poker has become increasingly popular over the past couple of years and it might have added much needed traffic to the Seals With Clubs poker room if they were able to retain it.

While the traffic isn't rising they appear to be holding their own. They obviously have some hardcore players who love what they offer.

i'd give them a try except they don't have a mac client, which seems crazy in this day and age. they should at least develop a html poker client that works on mac, ios or android.

last time i logged in there were only 9 players so it appears to be dying a slow death.

to give them a little credit, they have now added a client for mac, android and a html5 browser version. i doubt it will be enough to save them because they have no traffic but who knows.

SwC Poker have completely upgraded their desktop and mobile poker software. It has a newer, easier to navigate lobby and now offers ring games, scheduled tournaments and SNG's. New features like Bad Beat Jackpots and satellite tournaments have been added also. Probably the most important update is the addition of real money poker apps that work on both iOS and Android. You can read about it here

It's probably popular in Australia now given that Americas Cardroom and BetOnline are no longer available there.
