I've been reading recently about these new stable coins that are linked to the dollar, the most popular seem to be Tether (USDT), the Gemini Dollar (GUSD) and USD Circle Coin (USDC). Basically for each cryptocoin that is released, there is a dollar held by the company in their bank account, which means that these "stable coins" are always worth one dollar. This seems like a pretty good idea to me because you don't have to worry about your crypto portfolio losing about half it's value in a week.

What I'd like to know is do any crypto poker rooms or sports betting sites accept these stable coins yet?

Stable coins like JP Morgan coin and those from Gemini or Circle are heavily regulated so I doubt if they will every be used on any offshore bookmaker or gambling site. They are more for inter exchange or interbank settlement. If you want to use crypto for something slightly illegal like online gambling then you'll need to use a decentralized coin like BTC.

Even Facebook are launching a stable coin now. Stable coins are the new ICOs.
