EDITORS UPDATE (JUNE 2018): We contacted Nitrogen to get an official response on exactly which countries were restricted because there is a lot of misinformation online. According to Nitrogen, they only have some restrictions on Spanish and UK players. However, they might temporarily block players from other countries for a few hours to a week because of malicious attacks on their website that originate in those countries. So basically, as long as you are not from the United Kingdom or Spain, you can gamble at Nitrogen.

While I was travelling over Christmas, I attempted to login to my Nitrogen Sports account but I was blocked from doing so. When I contacted their support to see what the problem was, they replied that ...

"Our security team has taken the decision to ban users logging in from certain countries including Ireland, UK and Russia."

I did a bit more research online and discovered that they have also banned players from Japan and Argentina. I travel quiet a lot with work so I would be interested to know which other countries have Nitrogen Sports banned sports bettors?

Seems like odd behaviour given that they are a cryptocurrency sportsbook so they don't have to bother with regulations.

I really hope Nitrogen Sports never ban players from the United States because they are the only quality cryptocurrency sportsbook that allows anonymous gambling in the USA.

Yes, now that CloudBet has stopped accepting gamblers from the United States, there aren't many cryptocurrency-only sportsbooks left. I really don't want to have to go back to using Bovada again.

Australians are still welcome at Nitrogen Sports. The only countries that are banned right now are the UK and Spain.

Interesting. I'm wondering why Nitrogen are afraid of the anti-gambling regulations in Spain and the UK but don't care about breaking the law in the USA and Australia?

My guess is that they don't make enough money from gambling in the UK to be bothered taking on any extra legal risk. You have to remember how dominant players like William Hill, Ladbrokes and Paddy Power are in the United Kingdom. They are on every high street and it's easy make a deposit via their website using PayPal or debit/credit cards.

The United States is worth taking the risk for because it is such a huge sports betting marketplace. Many United States citizens are blocked from making deposits at traditional sportsbooks and poker rooms so their only option is to use cryptocurrencies.

I think this is a very bad idea. I have read numerous reports on this forum and others of cloudbet freezing accounts that they suspect are using a VPN. They will likely ask you to provide KYC documentation, and when you can't, they will keep your money. There are plenty of bitcoin friendly gambling sites that accept punters from the USA, UK, Australia etc so why take the risk.
