If you want to win yourself a little bitcoin with zero investment then freeroll tournaments are a great way to do it. Here are our two recommendations for bitcoin freeroll tourneys.

    BETCOIN FREEROLL - CLOSED
    • Betcoin are part of the Winning Poker Network, which means they have a far larger player pool than any other bitcoin-only poker room.
    • Compete in tournaments against players from Americas Cardroom, True Poker and Black Chip for big guaranteed prizes.
    • New players automatically get a ticket to their weekly 250 GTD freeroll tournaments.
    • Betcoin also run a variety of daily and weekly free rolls with zero buy-ins.

    NITROGEN POKER - NITROGENSPORTS.EU
    • Nitrogen Sports operate an independent poker network. While it can't compete in terms of traffic with Betcoin, the poker room does have a steady stream of real-money players thanks to the popularity of the Nitrgoen sportsbooks.
    • Nitrogen run 2 daily Hold'em and 1 Omaha freeroll tournaments.
    • There is a weekly Sunday freeroll with a guaranteed prize pool of 0.5 BTC.
    • Freeroll tourneys are also available on iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone or Android.

Does BetCoin run their own freeroll tournaments also? Tournaments exclusively for bitcoin players.

Yes, there are two separate types of tournaments at Betcoin.
    1. WTN Shared Tournaments - These are the "Winning Tournament Network" tourneys they share with True Poker, Black Chip and Americas Cardroom etc.
    2. Betcoin Only Tournaments - As the name suggests theses tournaments are only for Betcoin players. Prize pools are obviously smaller but there is also far less competition.

Yes, they do run a variety of bad beat, royal flush and freeroll tournaments everyday. If you transfer your poker balance from Bovada to Ignition, you automatically qualify for a number of tournaments.

Does any of the major Poker sites like 888 or PokerStars accept bitcoin yet?

Not yet. Since these sites do not operate in the United States there are no restrictions on their players using PayPal, Skrill, Neteller etc. so they are not as motivated to add crypto as gambling sites that operate off-shore. I think PokerStars have their license in the Isle of Man and their gambling commission hasn't fully approved bitcoin yet, although they are in the process.
