I got a strange email from CloudBet a few weeks ago informing me that they were resetting my password because they discovered a list of hacked usernames and passwords online. They maintained that a different site was hacked and they were merely resetting all CloudBet passwords as a preventative measure incase CloudBet users reused login credentials. This whole thing smells a little fishy to me. I think it is far more likely that CloudBet was hacked but they don't want to admit it because of the bad press it would generate.
A humber of people have reported receiving this email but CloudBet are denying that they have been hacked. No CloudBet customers have reported losing any bitcoin so I guess we'll have to take their word for it.
CloudBet are still maintaining that they were not hacked. Since there have been som major leaks like LinkedIn recently, they felt it was better to be proactive and reset players accounts incase anyone reused username/passwords on multiple sites. They have also stated that passwords are hashed so they would be useless to a hacker in the event of a security breach.
Bitcoin gambling sites rarely admit when they've been hacked and player information has been stolen. They always say that one of our competitors have been hacked and we are merely forcing you to reset your password as a precaution.
cloudbet weren't hacked but i've stopped using them since they started pushing bcash heavily. they've obviously been bought off by roger ver, jihan wu or calvin ayre.
