What is the best middleman cryptocurrency wallet?

I mistakenly made a withdrawal from a crypto sportsbook to my Coinbase wallet last year and I got one of those dreaded Coinbase warning letters saying that they'll close my account if I do it again. Since then I've been using the Blockchain.info wallet as a middleman wallet to act as a buffer between Coinbase and my various gambling accounts.

I've read that Blockchain.info don't have a very good record when it comes to security and they have lost their users bitcoin in the past so I'm looking for alternatives. Any thoughts or recommendations?

You are correct, Blockchain.info has been hacked on a couple of occasions due to their own incompetence. I would not leave any money in that money for more than an hour. Blockchain.info also don't support SegWit yet so you are needlessly spending more on transactions using their wallet than you need to. If you are looking for a SegWit enabled wallet where you control your private keys then I would recommend....

    Best Android Wallet - https://samouraiwallet.com
Samourai wallet is by far the best mobile wallet on the market today. The app is easy to use for beginners but it also has a bunch of great features for more advanced users like batching and custom fee selection. An iOS version is currently in production and should be available sometime in 2018.

    Best iPhone Wallet - https://blockstream.com/green/
Blockstream Green is a great SegWit ready wallet for iOS where you control your own private keys so it makes a great option for gamblers who need a go-between wallet between any exchange and your betting account. The design and layout is great and easy to use for beginners but it also has some advanced features under the hood.

bread wallet or BRD as they like to be called now, is the most easy to use bitcoin wallet for iOS. they still haven't implemented segwit yet though, which is a disgrace.

I'm happy to report that BRD wallet now supports SegWit so you can benefit from cheaper transactions with their iOS app. Better late than never.

  6. I would recommend the new Wasabi Wallet https://www.wasabiwallet.io because it mixes your bitcoin with the bitcoin of other users which greatly improves your privacy and anonymity. The downside is the mixing can take a few hours to a few days so you better not be in a rush.

I use Hodl wallet, it's available for iOS and Android. Really simple to use and they don't bother with shitcoins https://hodlwallet.co/

The Lightning Network offers better privacy than regular bitcoin transactions so it is probably better suited to using for crypto gambling. Sites like Coinbase will have a much harder time trying to track what you are doing with the bitcoin you buy and sell on their site. For this reason, over the next couple of years, most and more offshore gambling sites may request that their customers use Lightning Network wallets.

What I love most about it is that it is bitcoin only. I think BRD is a great app also but the addition of Bitcoin Cash made it too confusing for newbies. An app that only accepts BTC is much easier to grok.
