Forgive me if this is a super dumb question but are there specific cryptocurrency sports betting sites for United States sports fans? I know cryptocurrencies are global but for instance most of the crypto poker rooms don't accept Australian players and Nitrogen Sports even stopped allowing British citizens from wagering. So my question is, what are the best bitcoin sports betting sites for U.S. citizens?

No it's not a stupid question at all. One of the biggest names in bitcoin sports betting is CloudBet and they no longer welcome sports bettors from the United States. Also, major bookies like Pinnacle who accept bitcoin do not accept wagers from US citizens so you can't presume that just because a sportsbooks accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin that it also accepts sports bettors from the United States of America. Here is our recommendations for US friendly bitcoin sportsbooks.

Nitrogen Sports has a higher rating on Sportsbook Review (B+) than any other cryoto-only sportsbook and for good reason. They have been accepting BTC wagers since 2012 and are generally considered to the be the biggest and most trusted name in bitcoin sports betting. They are based in Costa Rica and are fully licensed and regulated by the gaming commission there.

    • U.S. sports bettors are welcome and the site has a strong focus on United States sports.
    • Nitrogen is totally anonymous, you don't even need to provide an email address if you don't want to.
    • You can wager live in-play on everything from the NFL to the English Premier League or NBA basketball.
    • Super slick design design that also works great on iOS or Android tablets and smartphones.
    • They run regular promotions like the NFL Survivor Pool or the MLB Postseason Parlay Promo.
    • You get one free withdrawal per week and the minimum withdrawal is just 0.001 BTC.
    • Competitieve odds on the the NFL, NHL, MMA/UFC, College Football, soccer, golf and more.
    • While support is only available via their ticket system and live chat, they are very responsive. You'll usually hear back within 30 mins.
    • You can turn on 2-factor authentication for added security. There haven't been any reported hacks at Nitrogen.
    • Lightning fast payouts, request a withdrawal and it'll be in your wallet in a couple of hours.
    • You can also play online and mobile poker at Nitrogen and there is a variety of casino games.
    • No horse race betting. If you are into the ponies, try one of these bitcoin racebooks.
    • While email support is fast, it would be nice if they provided phone support.
    • We have heard reports that grading can be a little slow at peak times.
    • They currently only support Bitcoin, which is fine for 99% of USA sports bettors but we're sure some crypto geeks out there would like to have the option to also wager with Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin or Monero.

If you are a fan of sports betting in the United States then you are probably already aware of Bovada because they have been of the biggest names in traditional offshore betting in the U.S. for well over a decade. What you might not be aware of is that they now also accept deposits and withdrawals in bitcoin. If you are not quiet ready to make the leap to a crypto-only bookie then Bovada offers U.S. sports bettors a way to try digital currencies in a familiar environment.

    • Make deposits or withdrawals with bitcoin or traditional banking methods like wire transfers, checks or Visa, MasterCard and American Express debit/credit cards.
    • Bovada have an A+ rating on Sportsbook Review and are one of the most trusted brands in United States offshore betting for over a decade so your money is safe.
    • While Bovada charge a fee for traditional withdrawals (4.9% for credit cards), all BTC deposits and payouts are totally free.
    • Biggest range of prop bets online. Since they are a US-only sportsbook they have are strongly focused on big North American markets with a huge array of football, basketball and hockey and baseball lines.
    • When you deposit with bitcoin, your BTC is instantly converted into dollars so you don't need to worry about the wild fluctuations in price.
    • Bovada excels at user experience, their site and mobile apps are beautifully designed and easy to use. It's the closest thing sports bettors in the United States have to the major European bookmaker sites like Bet365.
    • You can wager on horse racing from racetracks in the U.S. and Canada, which is something that most crypto-only sportsbooks don't offer.
    • American poker fans can also play online poker from their desktop, iPhone or Android.
    • Support is excellent and can be accessed via live chat, email or you can just phone one of their representatives.
    • You cannot create an anonymous account. When you request your first payout, you may be asked to provide some form of photo identification and proof of address.
    • It is only available from inside the United States so if you are on vacation or traveling for business, you won't be able to access the website without using a VPN.
    • The only crypto they support is Bitcoin but you would expect a sportsbook of this size to also offer DASH, XMR, ETH or LTC sports betting.
    • In our experience bitcoin withdrawals are usually processed within 6 hour but we have heard of reports of it taking up to 48 hours.

what's your opinion of betonline, i would have thought they deserve a recommendation also. they're probably my favourite crypto friendly bookmaker because they offer betters lines than bovada and they accept a few different cryptocurrencies.

BetOnline would be in our list of top 5 cryptocurrency sportsbooks it's probably worth doing a quick overview of them as well....

BetOnline is probably the second most well known offshore bookmaker after Bovada. They have been operating since 2001 in Costa Rica and later in Panama without incident and they have consistently been one of the most popular bookmakers for United States punters thanks to their competitive betting lines and excellent customer service. BetOnline now also accepts cryptocurrencies.

    • They accept more crypto's than Bovada or Nitrogen. Their cashier accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Dash.
    • Sportsbook Review give them an A+ rating which means your money is safe at this book and you are guaranteed quality service.
    • While you can expect to pay over 4% in processing fees when you deposit with Visa or MasterCard, BetOnline process crypto deposits and withdrawals totally free of charge.
    • Live chat, phone and email support is available 24/7/365. These guys know how to look after their customers.
    • Crypto deposits are instantly converted into dollars so you don't suffer from volatility.
    • BetOnline offers slightly better lines than Bovada and is used by both new and experienced bettors. Their high betting limits attract many professional gamblers and you can even bet via phone if you are offline.
    • The newly redesigned site is easy to navigate and is easy on the eye (although we slightly prefer the Bovada design).
    • BetOnline offer a more complete racebook thank Bovada who only cover racetracks in the USA and Canada. At BetOnline you can also wager on horse racing in Europe and Australia etc.
    • You can also play online poker and casino games from your phone or desktop.
    • You cannot gamble anonymously. Some KYC documents may be requested when you want to withdraw your winnings.
    • BetOnline poker is blocked to players in Australia. Only these Australian poker rooms are currently available.

Bovada used to be restricted in a number of states, including New York, but since the Supreme Court lifted on the federal ban on US online gambling I think Bovada is now available in all 51 states.

Since BetCoin have completely revamped their sportsbook, I decided to give it another try and I gotta admit it's pretty good. For those of us who want to gamble anonymously with cryptocurrencies from the United States, the only trustworthy options are BetCoin and Nitrogen. Most of the other bitcoin-only bookmakers are scams that will find a way to steal your bitcoin.

Yes, we agree, which is why we wrote a review of the BetCoin U.S. friendly sportsbook which you can read. Here is a quick summary of the pros and cons.

Betcoin is a familiar brand to anyone who have been using bitcoin for a while because they were one of the first bitcoin casinos to appear back in 2013. Their original bookmaker was pretty basic so we never featured it here but we have to admit that we are fans of their new sports betting platform. There are no country restrictions so UK, Australian and American punters are welcome.

    • United States, United Kingdom and Australian sports bettors are welcome. There are no country restrictions.
    • Place sports bets with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, Dash, Cardano, Monero or IOTA.
    • Both prematch and in-play betting available. Choose from 50,000 prematch betting markets every month or bet live in-play on over 10,000 markets.
    • Strong focus on United States sports and leagues, such as NBA, NCAA, NHL, MLB, AHL, boxing, U.S. Master Golf, U.S. Open, PGA Championship, Nascar, Tennis Open, UFC/MMA and much more.
    • Easy to navigate familiar 3 column structure with the betslip on the right hand side.
    • SportsBookReview give them a C+ rating which is good for a crypto exclusive bookies. It means that they deal with customer complaints fairly and are transparent.
    • They are based in Costa Rica and as a result they have to obey all the gaming license laws and requirement there to operate a gambling site.
    • You can create a sports betting account in seconds with just a username and email address. There is no KYC/AML for regular size withdrawals. If you win big then there is alway the possibility they will ask for ID before they process a payout.
    • Tons of casino games to choose from, including live dealer games.
    • While the BetCoin sportsbook is iOS and Android compatible, it does feel a little cluttered compared to Nitrogen and Bovada who have slightly better apps.
    • No specific sportsbook promotions at the minute. Deposit bonuses are aimed more at their casino clients. Nitrogen runs regular free bet promotions to coincide with the Super Bowl, start of the NFL season, big UFC fights etc.

Many sporting leagues in the United States temporarily shut-down at the beginning of the coronavirus. Thankfully, most of them, including the NBA and NLF are returning in July and August of 2020. While dates are not fixed here is the latest schedule for the return of sports after Coronavirus.

Antony Silva New Member do not advise, do not withdraw money at the slightest problem.
A year ago I lost access to the mail to which I registered this account, to which I was told to change, I need to wait 14 days from the moment I told them about it.
14 days have passed, and I am writing to them, has the mail changed and can the funds be withdrawn? To which at first they said that 14 days had not passed, although in fact 16 or even 17 had passed. After they accepted the fact that 14 days had passed, they said that they would transfer to some department somewhere thereit seems telecomasia, information that I need to change mail so that I can withdraw money.
But it has been a long time since no one wrote to me. I wrote to them once a week and I just heard, wait, wait.
The dates were not named, well, this is understandable, because they will not change my mail.
And I was not able to withdraw money, because a link comes to the mail, which you need to go to and confirm the withdrawal of funds.

Unfortunately, due to new regulations and restrictions on gambling in the state of NY, Bovada have made the decision to withdraw their service from New York from June 21st, 2021.
